Loving Kindness Meditation

Loving-kindness meditation (sometimes called "metta" meditation) is a great way to cultivate our propensity for kindness. It involves mentally sending goodwill, kindness and warmth towards others by silently repeating a series of mantras. It will help you to decrease negative emotions and increases positive emotions. Quiets your inner critic, strengthens empathy, connection to nature and others and increases your compassion.

Research has shown humming to be much more than a self-soothing sound: it affects us on a physical level, reducing stress, inducing calmness and enhancing sleep as well as lowering heart rate and blood pressure and producing powerful neurochemicals such as oxycotin, the "love" hormone.
